As General Counsel and Secretary, Mr. Turvey oversees the Legal Department and is responsible for the legal affairs of the organization. Mr. Turvey is responsible for managing all legal aspects of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management activities and works closely with the Board of Trustees and members of senior management.
Mr. Turvey was appointed Associate General Counsel in 2013, Vice President in 2016 and Senior Vice President in 2023. Prior to joining EPR Properties, Mr. Turvey was a partner at Dentons and was based in the firm’s Real Estate Group from 2004 to 2013. Mr. Turvey received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, and a B.S. in Business Administration and B.G.S. in Communication Studies, both from the University of Kansas.
