As Vice President of Underwriting and Analysis at EPR Properties, Mr. Werner oversees transaction underwriting and research within our targeted real estate investments. Mr. Werner and his team focus on initiating proprietary research within both our existing property types and potential expansion opportunities to ensure long-term value creation for our shareholders. Leading our investment efforts in RV resorts and outdoor hospitality, Mr. Werner evaluates and executes new investment ideas.
Prior to joining EPR Properties, Mr. Werner worked at Mariner Capital Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions, valuation advisory and business consulting. In 2015, Mr. Werner joined EPR Properties performing multiple functions within the organization with a focus on strategy and corporate development roles. Mr. Werner is a CFA Charterholder and received a B.S. in Economics from Nebraska Wesleyan University, graduating with the highest academic distinction.
